Condolences
Ed Walbolt Grandson August 24, 2011
Grant Walbolt was one of the most uniquely positive and well rounded people God has ever created.  He was selfless, always in tune with the needs of others, and he provided a supportive presence to anyone he encountered.  I had the privledge of Grant being my Grandpa and I enjoyed countless time under his influence.  I have always aspired to be just like my Grandpa and I will surely pass on the values, perspective, and class that he always taught me.  I already miss my Grandpa but his legacy in our family will long outlive his physical presence.  He was our Icon, our mentor, and we will not ever forget his wise words and caring heart he always showed all of us.  Thanks for the memories Grandpa, you will always be so special to us!  We love and miss you~

Sincerely,

Ed, Katrena, and Katelyn Walbolt

Grant's family:  I enjoyed visiting with Grant at neighborhood events .  He was a people person and fun to converse with.  When  he walked with his music he'd stop for a few minutes  if we met with my dog. I feel blessed to have known him. He made me smile. My condolences to you.

Dear Sue and Cres -

Another generation of memories and experiences to treasure as Uncle
Grant joins your Mom.  What great joys we shared at the cottage on Grand Lake in Celina as we were growing up - family reunions that gave us all a sense of belonging that we pass on.  Your Dad was always jovial and certainly enjoyed life!  I know your family and friends are a great comfort to both you and Cres.  Peace and Blessings....

Dear Sue, or Susie as I always called you, what a great picture of Grant and the memorial tribute is so well done.
Being around your parents was always such a pleasure as I was growing up. Mother and your Mom were very close with a history that goes back to when Grant was in the service.  Grant always seemed bigger than life to me and a hero because he was in the "war".  His job with Campbells Soup fascinated me.  When you buy a can of soup you don't think about the growing and the processing.  His job produced a new awareness to me as a kid.
Relatives influence us more than we think ...  until we DO begin to reflect.

Blessing to your family and peace be with you.
